Some spring and into later summer wildlife pictures which I so enjoy collecting. I think my favorite thing to do! Such a beautiful Gray fox. Watch the chickens!
This flanked out doe has to feed heavily to nurse her hidden fawn.
This one I will name Rosalie.
A nice buck below, viewed from the stern.
Another buck, a little guy.
Birds in flight, frozen for a microsecond.
Wandering fawn.
It is hard to tell from this picture, but the photo is of a huge woodchuck who lives under a log pile in the Far Field.
Same camera at night with some black and white night life!
Back into daylight with a Gray fox
Last year we nurtured over thirty Monarchs to adulthood. This year I have seen very few, and no babes at all. We do nurture a half acre of milkweed, but few monarchs showed this season.
Eyes in the night. I have no idea. Any guesses?
Nice bear on the East Ridge.
Coyote ( we have very few) on the same ridge.
A large house cat ha ha...
When the Fisher are few, the porkies come back! I like it.
This bear looks hot!
The turkeys are plentiful this year, as is all game in this area. Whether on foot or ATV, I see deer every time out. Never have we had so much small game such as rabbits, turkeys, fox, coons, woodchucks. Bears everywhere. Food is plentiful and it appears baby recruitment is widespread and successful. The only common creature I do not have on camera this summer is Fisher. The Bobcats are killing them off.
So there you have it! Enjoy the rest of summer and do try to get outdoors somewhere that is NOT crowded, loud, and trashy. We know what happened this year. It, and they, will pass.
